Patients For Fair Compensation commissioned McLaughlin & Associates to complete a survey of physicians in Georgia. The survey’s intent was to collect physician opinions on two issues:
- Replacing the medical malpractice system with a Patients’ Compensation System
- Gauging whether the Medical Association of Georgia represents the views of Georgia physicians
Key findings:
- Georgia physicians are more likely to trust societies for their individual specialty to represent them than the Medical Association of Georgia
- The majority of physicians support the Patients’ Compensation System by a two-to-one margin
- Nearly seven-in-ten physicians disagree with MAG’s position to oppose PCS
